It's no secret that I am a big fan of Nicole Richie's fantastic clothing range Winter Kate. Her S/S12 collection is her best one yet & I am saving up like a little Squirrel to buy as many pieces as I can! No mean feat when I also have my greedy eye on the current Twenty8twelve & Reiss collections!
I won't lie, it was difficult choosing my first piece from the new collection as...well... I want it all! But choose I did & I was not disappointed when the UH-MAY-ZING 'Bindaas' scarf print silk kaftan arrived in the post! It reminds me very much of a dress my Mum wore when I was about 7 years old (I have my whole family searching for a photo to show you!). The dress is quite simply stunning, a real show-stopper. The delicate Spring-like colours make it deliciously versatile & I am completely obsessed with it!!
While dear ol' Blighty is still a bit chilly, I shall be wearing it with black tights, shoe boots & an oversized boyfriend cardigan for day wear and with a tailored Tuxedo jacket for the evening. Its first outing however (date night with Hubby!) was a beautiful, rather unexpectedly sunny evening and I wanted to glam it up and really embrace the 70s/Boho vibe you can't help but get from this gorgeous piece. I kept it simple & teamed it with pieces from Nicole's fantastic accessories range House of Harlow 1960 & the best patent nude heels I've come across on the Highstreet in a very long time, Geri (Halliwell) by Next!
