Double Yellow Lines

"Double yellow lines
By the side of the road
Yellow lines will carry
Me home, yellow lines by the
Side of the road take me
Home tonight"

Matching sets and coordinates; the very thought of this tricky trend might send shudders up and down your spine. It may conjure up terrible images of your Granny in her twee two-piece outfits of yesteryear. Trust me however, wearing one print or one colour head to toe might seem like a big fashion faux pas, but a matching top and bottom is the fuss free way to dress to impress; it's all about matchy-matchy.

Ireland's Emma Manley showed us how to rock this potentially tricky trend beautifully in her SS17 collection. This bold coloured, buttery soft leather mini skirt is a guaranteed attention grabber no matter what it's worn with, but pair it with the matching sunshiny yellow leather tee, and we're talking cool, effortless style with a capital S.

I added a casual, dressed down edge to my co-ord set with a great pair of flat mules by French brand L'intervalle; I've been wearing these Gucci inspired slip-ons with everything, and I can't recommend them highly enough. An embellished Manley bag, to compliment the navy detail on my top, was the perfect finishing touch.
