Indian Summer

You might all remember how bereft I was when I had to say goodbye to my favourite Boho clothing brand, Nicole Richie's beautiful Winter Kate (blogged here). I've been searching for a replacement brand for months but to no avail. Until now! I stumbled across Spell Designs completely by accident and have subsequently spent many happy hours on their website drooling over their dreamy, ethereal designs.

My first purchase was a playsuit (of course it was; I'm obsessed with playsuits!) and what a beauty it is. Described online as 'the perfect Summer romper' (it really is), it is made in a beautiful cream broderie anglaise cotton with an embroidered tangled strawberry vine floral detail all over. It has a drawstring waist, 3/4 length sleeves and cute flirty frills on the shorts hemline.

I styled it with my fab Country & Western-esque 'Jalouse' boots by Ash; yes I finally found the perfect replacement for my much loved, absolutely battered, completely worn out Karen Millen boots!

I wore my cute little playsuit for the very first time on a glorious sunny Sunday at Mayfield Lavender Farm in Surrey. We wandered dreamily through 25 acres, the fields carpeted in rich purple lavender, listening to bees humming, crickets chirping, the sweet, aromatic scent of lavender evoking a feeling of calm and tranquility. It is such a magickal, enchanted place.

  3. May I ask which size you got? I am a size 10/12 and am not sure whether to get a size M or L, as I don't want it to be too baggy. Any help would be appreciated :)

  4. Hi there! I got the smallest size and it was a bit big so I took it to a great tailer to fix. I hope that helps xx
