Sequin Knit

This beautiful fine knit, over-sized sweater by Winter Kate is one of my favourite pieces from the brands AW12 collection. It is covered in millions of tiny sparkly sequins and features black velvet trim to the cuffs and neckline and is fully lined in chiffon.

Achingly cool it can be paired with coloured skinny jeans or flares, a chic denim pencil skirt or, while the weather is still fairly nice, with denim shorts (I'm not ready to give them up; it's not Winter yet!) & peep-toe shoe boots.

I bought the fabulous sweater from my local Donna Ida store & was so chuffed to meet the impossibly beautiful Donna herself while I was shopping! We chatted for over an hour & I left the store with my beautiful Winter Kate piece & a box of delicious cupcakes!

Watercolour

Another blog post, another Romper; I did tell you I was obsessed with them & this is a particularly beautiful one!

The first thing you notice about this glorious Twenty8twelve romper is the all over watercolour print; it is like wearing a favourite painting! Made of 100% silk, the 'Ava' features a slim collar, sleeves with snap tabs that enable you wear them long or at 3/4 length, front button closure & a cute drawstring belt that ties in a bow to cover the gathered elasticated waist.

I didn't want anything to distract from a stand-out piece like this so I styled it very simply with a pair of Summery tan coloured sandals from Reiss.

Charlie Chaplin

I was flicking through last weeks issue of Look Magazine when a picture of a beautiful dress featuring a novel Charlie Chaplin print immediately grabbed my attention. I went online to find out more about the obviously amazing Designer. London born Emma Louise is a womenswear designer specialising in unique prints; she has previously worked with Olivia Rubin (another Designer with a passion for amazing prints) & was part of the legendary Alexander McQueen design team.

The Chaplin dress that I had fallen in love with was part of her A/W11 collection which Emma says "relishes in 1930s culture". It is inspired by icons such as Norma Shearer & blends feminine sensuality with masculine tailoring. Emma's fabulous collections feature beautiful shift dresses, tops & shirts in loose, sexy silhouettes, beautiful colours & exquisite prints.

The Chaplin dress is a fresh take on the classic shift dress; made from luxurious crepe de chine in the palest gold, it features red silhouettes of iconic silent movie star Charlie Chaplin. It simply slips on & can be dressed up with heels and a cute clutch or dressed down with transeasonal ankle boots.

It's my first piece from Emma Louise London but it's fair to say it won't be my last! Emma's unique collections are available to buy online at Little Black Dress and her amazing A/W12 collection will be dropping there at the end of the month; I already have my eye on the fabulous Elephant Skin shift dress (please keep one for me Emma!!).

Hit The Jackpot

Dannii Minogue is back in the UK and her fabulous fashion label Project D London is all over the magazines and newspapers as they publicise their AH-MAY-ZING S/S13 collection! I don't know how I'll wait to buy some of the glorious dresses but while I do, I was inspired to wear one of my all time favourite Project D dresses! The 'Jackpot' dress was the very first piece I bought from the brand. I first saw it when Dannii herself wore it to an Event in her hometown of Melbourne; the headline read "we need this dress in our lives", and I did! 

This beautiful Zebra print dress, in a delicious & unexpected brown/cream colourway, is made of silk georgette & has a soft silk lining. It features a deep cowl neckline, asymmetrical shoulders, figure flattering draping to the front & a sexy side split. The sophisticated detailing makes me feel very grown up & glamorous whenever I wear it!

I styled it with a fantastic waist belt I bought some time ago from Reiss. It makes my waist look tiny & really compliments the dress. The shoes are the most wearable of all Louboutins, classic peep-toes in black.
